Visualization
To achieve greater flexibility at the stage of visualization, we had to use additional passes: Point Position Pass, Normals Pass (to highlight the top or bottom side of the character), ID Pass, etc.
The pirate rig
Our pirate is quite bulky, even so he can’t passively die of thirst. In other words he must move. In order to make this big guy move correctly from the anatomical point of view, we had to add him muscles, which we haven’t done before. So, we created our own setup for the pirate and voila!
Our first episode of the series about the adventures of Dji “Dji. Death Fails” has passed over a million views!!
Pre-production
Well, you can’t just breathe a sigh of relief when you finish a project. Especially if you work in an animation studio. As soon as we finished the first animated film, we immediately started working on the second one. But we had to start it from scratch.

The holiday season is still in full swing, but our unlucky Dji keeps working hard and brings us another award from the festival. What a creative personality!
This time the animated film “Dji. Death Fails” became the grand winner of the online competition “FILMSshort”. The organizers of this event select the best short films which are presented to the jury and viewers.

The animated film “Dji. Death Fails” received the award for Best Music!This unexpected news has come to us from Bosnia and Herzegovina, from Neum Animated Film Festival which is held since 2004.
While we’re finishing the second series of the animated film, Dji continues to win awards at international festivals.
This summer the award for Best Animated Film has come to us from France, from the Festival du Film Merveilleux et Imaginaire. The festival is held since 2010 and promotes films celebrating the imaginary, the supernatural and magic from all over the world. As you can see, Dji met all the requirements=)
